  • March 10, 2011 at 11:36 am

Hello,

Today I have made a birthday box for a friend.  I have made it big enough to put some very mini alcohol bottles along with lollies inside.  I am entering my box into the Bugaboo Anything Goes Challenge.   I made the box from scratch using chipboard which I have not done for a long time but ejoyed getting back into it.

Magnolia Book

  • March 4, 2011 at 12:23 pm

Hello,

What weird weather we have been having in Melbourne lately.  Today is the 4th day of autumn yet it is freezing cold as if we were in the middle of winter – brrrr.

Magnolia Down Under challenge this week is ‘Flower Power’.

One of the many blogs I like to stalk at is We Design Studios.  The other day Laura from We Design Studios got an old hard cover book cut out the middle (prison style:)) and placed confetti and cute little birthday gifts in it (click HERE to have a looksie).  Then posted it off to a friend.  I thought this was a very cool idea.  I wanted to take it one step further and cover the outside of the book and make a box that will fit on the inside that I can place the gift in.  Because the only book I had at home that I was prepared to desecrate was a paper back, I used chipboard and bookbinding fabric to transform into a hard cover.

Hope you like what I came up with.

Cardstock; SU
Ink; SU, Walnut Ink Tintz & Memento

Boy Card

  • February 22, 2011 at 1:29 pm

Todays card is the invites I have made for my sons birthday slumber party (what was I thinking :) ).
Cute Card Thursday Challenge this week is  ’to see your cards that feature something nice and shiny. It can be Glossy Accents added to your image, or charms, metal flowers, mirror card, if it’s shiny we want to see it!’
Because this card is boy orientated I wanted to keep the shine at a minimum, I put some ‘dimensional magic’ over the chipboard star.

Bugaboo – a different kind of fold – AGAIN.

  • February 15, 2011 at 1:11 pm

I love making cards with different folds so thought I would make another one for the Bugaboo A Different Kind of Fold Challenge.
I am not sure where I learnt to do this card nor what is it called.  Luckily I had an old one hanging around to remember how to make it.  I have also drawn up some instructions in case anyone wants to give this card a go.  In the past, on the inside I have put photos instead of stamped images.  A great card to give grandparents with photos of the grandchildren:).

Cardstock – SU
PP – Cosm0 Cricket; twist and shout
Nesties – Nestabilities
Copics
Digi Stamps – Bugaboo Clyde the Dragon.
