I have been busy making some flowers. I enjoy doing this while watching the telly when the kids are tucked up in bed asleep :) .

Birthday Box

  • March 10, 2011 at 11:36 am

Hello,

Today I have made a birthday box for a friend.  I have made it big enough to put some very mini alcohol bottles along with lollies inside.  I am entering my box into the Bugaboo Anything Goes Challenge.   I made the box from scratch using chipboard which I have not done for a long time but ejoyed getting back into it.

Magnolia Book

  • March 4, 2011 at 12:23 pm

Hello,

What weird weather we have been having in Melbourne lately.  Today is the 4th day of autumn yet it is freezing cold as if we were in the middle of winter – brrrr.

Magnolia Down Under challenge this week is ‘Flower Power’.

One of the many blogs I like to stalk at is We Design Studios.  The other day Laura from We Design Studios got an old hard cover book cut out the middle (prison style:)) and placed confetti and cute little birthday gifts in it (click HERE to have a looksie).  Then posted it off to a friend.  I thought this was a very cool idea.  I wanted to take it one step further and cover the outside of the book and make a box that will fit on the inside that I can place the gift in.  Because the only book I had at home that I was prepared to desecrate was a paper back, I used chipboard and bookbinding fabric to transform into a hard cover.

Hope you like what I came up with.

Bugaboo Final Challange – Anything Goes.

  • January 22, 2011 at 9:27 am

Hello,

Well this is my final entry for the Bugaboo 1st Birthday Challange.   I have chosen to go with the theme ‘CRAFT PARTY’.  I have always wanted to do a craft party where I invite a couple of friends over and we craft, chat & eat!
The Bugaboo Stamp image I have used is Sew Sun Button.

Here is the table layout with place markers, invites, kitbags and a lollie triange.

Kit Bag.

I had lots of fun making this Craft Party set.  But now, alas I have to clean the house after it has been severely neglected after a week of crafting for the Bugaboo 1st Birthday Challange.
A big thankyou to Bugaboo for getting me out of my ‘Mojo No- Show’ :) .

T’is getting getting close to that time of the year.

It has been exactly one month since I last posted. I am a very naughty blogger. I intend on changing my ways and endeavour to blog at least once a week:-).

Today I have for you a quick ‘n’ easy triangle box for you. This box is great for holding treats of the yummy kind or anything else you can think of.

    triangle-Box   triangle-Box1

Ingredients
Riding Hood Red A4 paper
Riding Hood Red Ink
Christmas Classics Stamp Set
Pink Pirouette Designer Series Paper
Snail Adhesive
2 Way Glue Pen
Large Star Punch
Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon
Small Circle Punch
Bone Folder

To get this 3D effect to the star, stamp out 3 star images.  Using the Large Star Punch, punch out these three stars (if you do not have the star punch use scissors to cut around the image).  Using your bone scorer, score down the centre of each star.  With your 2 way glue stick, glue half of the star and stick to the next star, then repeat the same to the third star.  Then glue down to the front face of the box.

Mini Card & Envelope Set

Envelope and Card holder Set

I love this set.  I have made it many a time to give away as a thankyou gift.  It is quite simple to make and I think looks really good.  It goes so well with many different stamp sets and/or designer series paper.  I have designed it to fit 4 cards and 4 envelopes into their respective pockets.  See below for the diagram to make the Envelope and Card Holder Set.
