Boy Card

  • February 22, 2011 at 1:29 pm

Todays card is the invites I have made for my sons birthday slumber party (what was I thinking :) ).
Cute Card Thursday Challenge this week is  ’to see your cards that feature something nice and shiny. It can be Glossy Accents added to your image, or charms, metal flowers, mirror card, if it’s shiny we want to see it!’
Because this card is boy orientated I wanted to keep the shine at a minimum, I put some ‘dimensional magic’ over the chipboard star.

Bugaboo – a different kind of fold – AGAIN.

  • February 15, 2011 at 1:11 pm

I love making cards with different folds so thought I would make another one for the Bugaboo A Different Kind of Fold Challenge.
I am not sure where I learnt to do this card nor what is it called.  Luckily I had an old one hanging around to remember how to make it.  I have also drawn up some instructions in case anyone wants to give this card a go.  In the past, on the inside I have put photos instead of stamped images.  A great card to give grandparents with photos of the grandchildren:).

Nesties – Nestabilities

Bugaboo – a different kind of fold challenge

  • February 13, 2011 at 8:53 pm

Hello,

This weeks challenge over at Bugaboo is ‘a different kind of fold’.  This is a slight variation to the easel card by adding post-it notes.  I got this ‘fab post it note easel card’ template from Marianne.  If you get a chance check out Marianne’s blog she has the most awesome creations.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #88

  • February 10, 2011 at 8:45 pm
Hello,

Below is this weeks sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Todays card is for my son Zachs’ 9th Birthday which is later on this month.  As he is really into Wii, PS3 etc I thought I would use a cute image from Pixie Dust Studio - ’Game- A- Saurus’.

Kaiser Kraft Patterned Paper
Copics
Pixie Dust Studio Digi Stamp
Bling – somewhere from ebay land :)

Next I am going to show some photos of the recent floods we had in Narre Warren, Victoria, Australia.  The weather has been quite wild here as of late.  Finally yesterday after 5 days we now have access to our main roads.  We only had one way out of our suburb and that was a narrow bridge over a causeway, which was touch and go for a while.  Since that was the only road out of Narre Warren for 5 days a 15minute trip became a 1.5-2.00 hour trip.  Needless to say I spent a lot of time at home.  Still we faired a lot better than people in Queensland who have suffered extreme flooding and then Cyclone Yasi.  Where people have lost their lives, property and businesses.  You can donate HERE if you wish, for these people affected in Queensland, Australia.

Anyhow here are the photos of our mini flood in Narre Warren.

Our local playground which looked extra cool underwater. Live on Nessie ;) .

Bugaboo ‘anything goes challenge’

  • February 10, 2011 at 10:59 am

Hello,

It has been 10 days since I have done any card making.  Been getting back into the school routine with the kids after the Christmas Holidays.  Zach started grade 3 this year and little Luke has justed started Kindergarten.  Can not believe how quickly the years have gone by.

Today I have a card that I have created for the ‘anything goes challenge’  at Bugaboo stamps.  I have used Skelekinz Wings digi stamp.  This card is going to be for my nieces birthday.  Jess just loves the colour purple so was a no-brainer for the colour combo.

Cardstock – SU
Label Nestabilities
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Homemade Yo Yo Flower
Copics
Heart Charm – unknown
Skelekinz Wings digi stamp.
