Hello All,
I had a request from Stacy on how to make the flowers that I used on my magnolia card. I looked on Youtube for similar techniques to what I used to make the flowers.
With the ribbon flower since I used much thinner width ribbon than shown in the youtube link, I found I need to continually stitch the flower as I coiled it.
With the cardstock flower I used my silhouette to cut out the flowers or alternatively you could use the EK success flower punches (come in 3 different sizes) to punch out these flowers. In the youtube video the lady used Stazon ink to edge the flowers. I found using a water based ink such as Stampin Up gave a much better effect after misting the flower. The ink would spread a bit with the water. To make it even easier to colour the edges of the flower I found using my Stampin Up marker pen (the paint brush end) a lot quicker.
Hope this helps Stacey

My craft mojo has been missing for a very long time. I am glad to say it is finally back – yay!
I have been really enjoying usung my Copic Markers. They take a bit to get used to but are well worth the trial and error. They just make your stamp images jump right out of the page IMO.
I have been scouring the internet to make my own flowers. My two criteria is they need to look good but also be relatively easy to make.
This card I have made for an upcomming engagement party I am going to. All these flowers (except the white ones) I have made myself. I hace used Copics to colour-in the Magnolia stamp image. Heart charm – Kiki crafts.

Again coloured in with my Copic markers. This image is from ‘Tiddly Inks’ digital stamp. Cut out the snow flake on my Silhouette SD and coated with Kindy Glitz. Charm from Kiki crafts. Cuttle Bug embossing folder. SU coloured cardstock.

Stamped Images from Waltzing Mouse – Half Pint Heroes. Copic markers. Brayered background colours using SU inks. SU cardstock. Spellbinders ribbon tag die.
